Our staff is a collection of talented, dedicated professional instructors and musicians who combine a love of music with a desire to help others who want to achieve their highest musical potential. That passion shows in all we do! Our goal is to enrich the artistic lives of our students as well as the people of the Uintah Basin.

Uintah School of Music and the Arts

The Uintah School of Music and the Arts (USOMATA) is a Suzuki based school. The teachers have over 60 years of combined experience and training. USOMATA's students have performed at Carnegie Hall, Disneyland, Temple Square in Salt Lake City, etc... USOMATA alumni have gone on to scholarship at such universities as: Utah Valley University, University of Utah, Snow College, Utah State University, Brigham Young University, BYU at Idaho, Weber State University, University of Wyoming, University of Nevada Las Vegas, Louisiana State University, and others. Alumni of USOMATA have also obtained professional positions in such organizations as Casper Wyoming Symphony, Acadiana Symphony, Temple Square Symphony, Rapides Symphony, Utah Symphony, and Symphony of SouthEast Texas. They have performed for the Grammy Awards, produced professional recordings, and have performed for various live and taped television performances. Current students of USOMATA perform and tour with the Utah Valley Youth Symphony, the Utah Youth Symphony, and other highly acclaimed youth programs. Students of USOMATA enjoy showcasing their progress at various recitals, concerts, and competitions throughout the year.
Curriculum at USOMATA is created to ensure that all students learn the necessary tools to become professional musicians (should they choose that profession) while learning the love and joy of music. For that reason, the school consults with professional musicians and master Suzuki teachers on a regular basis to evaluate this curriculum and make any changes necessary to guarantee that this guideline is met. here.
