Vivaldi's Winter from Four Seasons

The Uintah School of Music and the Arts, located in Vernal, Utah was founded in 1999 by Ora Fay Oviatt and Merietta Oviatt.  It is a private, non-profit 501c3 school whose purpose is to promote education, excellence, acceleration, and appreciation of life-long learning in music using the Suzuki method of teaching by certified Suzuki teachers.  The school is governed by the founders assisted by a very active parent council board.  The school's current student body of over 40 violin, viola, cello, bass, piano, vocal, and classical guitar students range in age from three years to adult.  Students from a 60 mile radius in Eastern Utah and the Uintah basin travel to Vernal for lessons and performances.  The school is financially supported by tuition and patron donations as well as fund raising activities and events.  Students graduate from USOMATA with a solid foundation in music through the Suzuki method with which they may pursue careers in music, teaching, and/or performance or the pursuit of life-long playing for leisure and enjoyment.
